Since its inception in 1955, CCSI has worked to help our consumers feel strong, confident and secure in their lives, fulfilling our mission statement to provide an array of services that offers support and dignity to each individual we serve, providing an optimal quality of life that embraces self-advocacy and reflects choices, aspirations and responsibilities. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, charitable organization providing support and care for persons with developmental disabilities, CCSI values all individuals – those we serve and those we employ, through our actions and our words.
CCSI accomplishes this by providing services to our consumers in waivered services programs with 8 homes in Worthington, 2 in Luverne, 2 in Windom, and 2 in Sibley, Iowa. Ridgewood is our intermediate care facility (ICF/DD) where we provide services to 15 consumers with physical and developmental disabilities in a home-like environment. Our semi-independent living service program (SILS) provides services in a 4-county area to consumers living in their own homes. SILS Client Tim says, “I like SILS. They help me with my checkbook, savings account, cooking and cleaning. I like going to the summer theatre, bowling, dances, and out to eat with SILS.”
Our staff works hard to ensure that a family feeling is felt in each of the homes. Care and compassion about people is a positive thread running through CCSI. Direct Support Professional Renee from 1621 states, “I love it here! I am going to be here forever.”
Your contribution to CCSI helps to ensure the continuation of these programs, maintaining our mission and providing quality living for our consumers.
Thank you for your consideration and your continued support.
